Privacy Policy – LitPrism: Book Summary & Audio
Replace the whole page body with the text between the rules below. Set the
Effective Date to the day you publish it.
Beyond the three fixes I flagged, this also corrects four things I found while
reading your current text — listed at the bottom so you can see what changed and
why.
Effective Date: [DATE YOU PUBLISH]
1. Introduction
This privacy policy applies to the LitPrism: Book Summary & Audio app (hereby
referred to as “Application”) for mobile devices, created by Make Life Easy Apps
(hereby referred to as “Service Provider”) as a Free, advertising-supported
service. This service is intended for use “AS IS”. We are committed to
protecting your personal information and your right to privacy. This Privacy
Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your data when you use our
mobile application.
2. Information Collection and Use
You can browse and read in the Application without creating an account. If you
choose to sign in, additional information is collected as described below.
The Application collects:
- Device information, such as your device model and operating system version.
- Your device’s Internet Protocol (IP) address.
- Usage data, including which screens you visit, your reading progress,
reading streaks, and time spent in the Application. - Account information — your name and email address — only if you choose to
sign in with Google or Apple. - Content you create, such as saved collections and highlighted passages,
stored against your account so it syncs between your devices. - A push notification token via Firebase Cloud Messaging, if you allow
notifications. - Your device’s advertising identifier, used to serve advertising. See
Section 5.
The Application does not collect precise location data.
The Application does not use Artificial Intelligence to process your personal
data. Book summaries in the Application are written with AI assistance as part
of our content production, before publication — this does not involve your data
in any way.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information to:
- Provide, operate, and improve the Application and its features.
- Save and sync your reading progress, streaks, collections, and highlights.
- Send push notifications and reading reminders, which you can turn off at any
time in the Application under Profile → Notifications, or in your device
settings. - Contact you with important service notices.
- Serve and measure advertising, as described in Section 5.
4. Third-Party Services
The Application uses the following third-party services, each governed by its
own privacy policy:
- Google Play Services — https://policies.google.com/privacy
- Google AdMob (advertising) — https://policies.google.com/technologies/ads
- Google Sign-In — https://policies.google.com/privacy
- Sign in with Apple — https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/
- Firebase Authentication — https://firebase.google.com/support/privacy
- Cloud Firestore (progress and collections sync) — https://firebase.google.com/support/privacy
- Firebase Cloud Messaging (push notifications) — https://firebase.google.com/support/privacy
We do not sell your personal information.
The Service Provider may disclose information:
- as required by law, such as to comply with a subpoena or similar legal
process; - when we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect our
rights, protect your safety or the safety of others, investigate fraud, or
respond to a government request; - with trusted service providers who work on our behalf, do not have independent
use of the information disclosed to them, and have agreed to adhere to the
rules set out in this privacy statement.
5. Advertising and the Advertising Identifier
The Application is free and supported by advertising served by Google AdMob.
To show ads, AdMob accesses your device’s advertising identifier — the Android
Advertising ID, or on iOS the Identifier for Advertisers (IDFA). This identifier
is resettable and does not directly identify you. It is used to show ads, limit
how often you see the same advert, and measure advertising performance.
You can reset this identifier or opt out of personalised advertising at any
time:
- Android: Settings → Google → Ads
- iOS: Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking
Where required by law, you will be asked for consent before any personalised
advertising is shown. You can change that choice at any time from “Why So Many Ads?” in the Application’s menu.
We do not combine the advertising identifier with your account details.
6. Your Choices and Opt-Out Rights
- Notifications — turn off in the Application under Profile → Notifications,
or in your device settings. - Personalised advertising — see Section 5.
- Stop all collection — uninstall the Application using the standard process
for your device or app store.
7. Data Retention, Access and Deletion
We retain data you provide for as long as you use the Application and for a
reasonable period afterwards.
You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from inside the Application: Profile → Delete Account. This permanently removes your
reading progress, streaks, saved collections, and highlights from our servers,
and cannot be undone.
You can also request deletion here:
https://apps.thehometoolspro.com/litprism-data-deletion-request/
Or by emailing [email protected].
You also have the right to access, update, or request a copy of your personal
information. Contact us at the address above.
8. Children’s Privacy
The Application does not address anyone under the age of 13, and the Service
Provider does not knowingly solicit data from or market to children under 13.
If we discover that a child under 13 has provided personal information, we will
immediately delete it from our servers. If you are a parent or guardian and
believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us
at [email protected] so we can take the necessary action.
9. Security
The Service Provider is concerned about safeguarding the confidentiality of your
information, and provides physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards to
protect the information we process and maintain. All data transmitted between
the Application and our servers is encrypted in transit using HTTPS.
10. Changes to This Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. We will notify you of any
changes by updating this page with the new Privacy Policy. You are advised to
consult this Privacy Policy regularly. Continued use is deemed approval of all
changes.
11. Your Consent
By using the Application, you consent to the processing of your information as
set out in this Privacy Policy, now and as amended by us.

these practices, contact the Service Provider by email at:
