The Application is provided by Make Life Easy Apps. The Application is offered as a free service with optional paid features. The service is provided “AS IS”.
1. What the Application does
TransCast is an AI-powered media translation and dubbing application. Depending on the features you choose to use, the Application can:
- Transcribe spoken audio from video and audio files into text
- Translate transcribed speech and text into supported languages
- Generate AI voiceovers and dubbed audio tracks in translated languages
- Optionally generate a synthetic voice that resembles the voice in your source media (“voice cloning”)
- Generate, edit, and export subtitles and caption files, including SRT format
- Merge translated audio or subtitles back into your video
- Import media from your device, and save or share the translated output
2. Cloud processing of your media
Please read this section carefully. Translation and AI dubbing cannot be performed entirely on your device. To provide these features, the Application uploads your selected media to remote servers for processing.
When you choose to translate or dub a file, the following may be transmitted from your device to the Service Provider’s servers and to third-party artificial intelligence processing services:
- The audio track extracted from your selected video or audio file
- The complete media file, where required by the processing service
- Text transcribed from your media
- Translated text and generated audio output
- Your selected source and target languages, and related job settings
Uploaded media is processed for the sole purpose of producing the translation, transcription, subtitle, or dubbed output you requested. Uploaded media is retained on processing servers for [NUMBER] hours after your job completes, and is then deleted automatically. You may request earlier deletion using the method described in Section 9.
Some functions, such as importing files, trimming, local playback, and saving output, are performed on your device and do not require upload.
Do not upload confidential, legally privileged, medical, or otherwise sensitive recordings to the Application.
3. Voice data and voice cloning
Voice cloning is optional and requires your explicit consent. If you do not enable it, the Application will use generic synthetic voices instead, and no voiceprint will be created.
If you enable the voice cloning feature, the Application analyses the voice present in your source media in order to generate a synthetic voice with similar characteristics. This analysis may produce a voice model, sometimes called a voiceprint.
Depending on where you live, voice models may be treated as biometric information under laws including the EU and UK General Data Protection Regulation and the Illinois Biometric Information Privacy Act. Accordingly:
- Voice cloning is never enabled by default. You must turn it on and confirm consent before any voice model is created.
- Voice models are used only to generate dubbed audio for the media you submitted.
- Voice models are not sold, licensed, or shared for advertising, marketing, or model training purposes.
- Voice models are retained for [NUMBER] days and then permanently deleted, or earlier upon your request.
- You may withdraw your consent at any time in [SCREEN NAME, e.g. Settings → Voice & Privacy], which deletes any stored voice model.
You are responsible for having the right to clone any voice you submit. Do not upload another person’s voice without their permission. Do not use the Application to impersonate any person or to create misleading content.
4. Information collected automatically
The Application may collect or process the following when you download and use it:
- Device Internet Protocol (IP) address
- Device model, operating system version, and application version
- Advertising ID or similar device identifiers, where permitted
- App interaction data, such as screens viewed, features used, and ad interactions
- Crash, diagnostic, and performance information
- Translation job metadata, such as file duration, file size, and selected languages
- Firebase Cloud Messaging registration token, if push notifications are enabled
- Notification preferences and notification interaction data
- Approximate location inferred by third-party services such as advertising providers
The Application does not request or collect precise GPS location.
5. Accounts and purchases

If the Application offers user accounts, it may collect your email address and authentication identifiers in order to create and secure your account and to associate your translation history with it.
If the Application offers subscriptions or in-app purchases, these are processed by Google Play Billing. The Service Provider does not receive or store your payment card details. Google Play may share purchase status, transaction identifiers, and subscription state with the Service Provider in order to unlock paid features.
6. Permissions
The Application may request the following permissions, only when required by a feature you have chosen to use:
- Photos, videos, and audio access — to import the media files you select for translation
- Microphone — to record audio directly within the Application, where that feature is offered
- Camera — to capture video within the Application, where that feature is offered
- Storage and media access — to open, save, export, and share processed files
- Notifications — to alert you when a translation job finishes, and to send feature updates and optional promotional messages if you enable them
- Internet — to upload media for processing, load ads and consent forms, and connect to Google Play, Firebase Cloud Messaging, and related services
7. Third-party services
The Application relies on third-party services that process information under their own privacy policies.
Platform, advertising, and messaging

- Google AdMob
- Google User Messaging Platform (consent management)
- Firebase Cloud Messaging
AI processing providers
The following providers receive and process your uploaded media, audio, or text in order to deliver translation, transcription, and dubbing:
- speech-to-text, machine translation, and text-to-speech or voice cloning vendors
These services may process device identifiers, Advertising ID, IP address, app interaction data, diagnostics, crash information, notification tokens, ad performance data, and the media and text you submit for translation.
Google privacy resources: Google Privacy Policy, Google Advertising Technologies, Google AdMob, Firebase Privacy and Security.
8. Advertising
The Application may display advertisements to free users through Google AdMob. Ads may appear as banner, inline, interstitial, or rewarded formats. Rewarded ads are optional and grant an in-app benefit only after the reward is completed.
Depending on your region and your consent choices, ads may be personalized or non-personalized. The Application uses Google’s consent tools to request and manage advertising consent where required by law. If you decline personalized advertising, the Application remains usable, though non-personalized ads may still be shown.
9. Your rights and how to exercise them
Regardless of where you live, you may:
- Request a copy of the personal information held about you
- Request correction of inaccurate information
- Request deletion of your account, uploaded media, translation history, and any voice model
- Withdraw consent for voice cloning or push notifications at any time
- Object to or restrict certain processing
To make a request, email [email protected] , [email protected] with the subject line “Privacy Request”. Requests are answered within 30 days.
Users in the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom have rights under the GDPR, including the right to data portability and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. Where the Application relies on consent as its legal basis — including for voice cloning and personalized advertising — you may withdraw that consent at any time.
Users in California have rights under the CCPA/CPRA, including the right to know, delete, and correct personal information, and the right to opt out of sale or sharing. The Service Provider does not sell personal information or media files.
You can stop all collection of information by uninstalling the Application. Uninstalling does not automatically delete data already held on servers — use the request method above for that.
10. Data retention
- Uploaded media and generated output on servers: retained [NUMBER] hours after job completion, then deleted
- Voice models: retained [NUMBER] days, or until you withdraw consent
- Files on your device: temporary files, drafts, and exports remain until you delete them, clear app storage, or uninstall the Application
- Notification preferences: stored locally on your device; Firebase Cloud Messaging registration data is processed under Firebase policies
- Support correspondence: retained for support, legal, and record-keeping purposes
Third-party services retain data according to their own policies and retention schedules.
11. Data sharing
The Service Provider shares information only in the following circumstances:
- With the third-party processors listed in Section 7, in order to operate the Application
- When required by law, legal process, or a lawful government request
- To protect rights and safety, prevent fraud, or enforce the Application’s terms
- In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this Policy
The Service Provider does not sell your personal media files, transcripts, or voice models.
12. International data transfers
Your media and text may be processed on servers located outside your country of residence, including in [LIST REGIONS, e.g. the United States and the European Union]. Where required, transfers rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses.
13. Children
The Application is not directed to children under the age of 13, and the Service Provider does not knowingly collect personal information from them. Voice cloning features are not intended for use by children.
If the Service Provider becomes aware that a child under 13 has provided personal information, reasonable steps will be taken to delete it. Parents and guardians who believe their child has provided personal information should contact the Service Provider.
14. Security
Reasonable physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards are used to protect information processed by the Application, including encryption of media in transit. However, no method of electronic storage or transmission over the internet is completely secure, and absolute security cannot be guaranteed.
15. Acceptable use
You must not use the Application to translate, dub, or clone voices in content that you do not own or have permission to use, to impersonate any person, or to create deceptive media. Accounts used for such purposes may be suspended.
16. External links and sharing
The Application may link to Google Play, developer pages, or other external websites not operated by the Service Provider. When you share an exported file through your device’s share sheet, the receiving application handles that file under its own privacy policy.
17. Changes to this Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated periodically. Changes will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. Material changes affecting how your media or voice data is processed will additionally be notified in the Application. Continued use of the Application after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
18. Your consent
By using the Application, you consent to the processing of information as described in this Privacy Policy. Voice cloning requires separate, explicit consent given within the Application.
